الأمومة موقف أخلاقي وانساني وليست علاقة بيولوجية فقط

في كل عام، ونحن نبحث عن معنى أعمق للسلام والمحبة في وطننا سوريا، أتذكر مشهدًا مؤثرًا من مسرحية “دائرة الطباشير القوقازية”، حين وُضع طفل في دائرة، وتنازعت عليه امرأتان، لكن الأم الحقيقية كانت هي التي رفضت أن تسحبه كي لا يتأذى… فاختارت الرحمة على الامتلاك، والحماية على الانتصار.

سوريا اليوم تشبه ذلك الطفل الذي يقف في دائرة الطباشير، تتنازع عليه الطوائف والأفكار والمصالح والانتماءات الضيقة، بينما الأم الحقيقية هي كل من يرفض أن يجرحها، كل من يختار حمايتها بدل تمزيقها، وكل من يقدم مصلحة المجتمع على مصلحة الطائفة أو الدين أو القومية.

من موقعي أؤمن أن الأمومة ليست علاقة بيولوجية فقط ، بل موقف أخلاقي وإنساني: أن نحمي، أن نحتضن، أن نمنع الألم، وأن نختار سوريا الواحدة المتماسكة فوق كل الانقسامات.

في هذه المناسبة، أوجه معايدتي لكل أم سورية، ولكل امرأة ورجل اختار أن يكون “أمًا” لهذا الوطن بمعناه الإنساني النبيل…

أنتم حماة الدائرة، وأنتم الضامن الحقيقي لبقاء سوريا آمنة ومتسامحة ومتعددة.

كل عام وسوريا بخير،

وكل عام وأنتم جناحها الأزرق الذي يحميها من السقوط، ويقودها نحو السلام.

Each year, as we search for a deeper meaning of peace and compassion in our beloved Syria, I remember a powerful scene from The Caucasian Chalk Circle, where a child was placed inside a circle and two women struggled over him. The true mother was the one who refused to pull the child toward her, choosing mercy over possession and protection over victory.

 

Today, Syria resembles that child standing inside the chalk circle, pulled by sects, ideas, interests, and narrow identities, while the true “mother” is everyone who refuses to hurt her, everyone who chooses to protect her rather than tear her apart, and everyone who places the well-being of society above sect, religion, or ethnicity.

 

From my position I believe that motherhood is not only a biological relationship, but a moral and human stance: to protect, to embrace, to prevent pain, and to choose a united and cohesive Syria above all divisions.

 

On this occasion, I extend my warm greetings to every Syrian mother, and to every woman and man who chose to be a “mother” to this in its noble human meaning.

You are the guardians of the circle, and the true guarantee that Syria remains safe, tolerant, and diverse.

 

May Syria be well every year,

and may you always remain her Blue Wing that protects her from falling and leads her toward peace.
